A Boat with bodies found drifting off Grenada's water
Police are investigating the discovery of a vessel containing dead bodies found drifting between one of Grenada's sister islands Carriacou, and Union Island yesterday.
The fisherman made the gruesome discovery from Petite Martinique. In a video posted to social media, the bodies decomposed.
The boat was towed to Carriacou last night. Reports indicate about seven bodies were found in the boat. They remain unidentified at this time.
It is not the first time vessels with dead bodies have drifted in the Caribbean sea.
In May, a boat found with 15 dead bodies linked to Mauritania was found drifting off the waters of Tobago.
In July, a boat with 20 dead people drifted off the Turks and Caicos Islands waters near Grand Turk Island. That vessel is to have possibly originated from the West coast of Africa.
