Anguilla now has 50 active COVID-19 cases
Twenty-three people have recovered from COVID-19 in Anguilla.
The Ministry of Health said these recoveries took the island’s active COVID-19 infections to 50.
Despite the good news, the country recorded 17 new infections.
The first cluster is made up of 11 household contacts of a positive person. The cluster is made up of four unvaccinated adults and seven unvaccinated minors.
Three fully vaccinated women returned positive infection results after they were tested at the end of their four-day quarantine.
The ministry said one woman was American while the other two were Anguillans who returned from Sint Maarten.
The final three infections were vaccinated residents who had no recent history of travel.
These infections brought the territory’s total cases of COVID-19 to 296.
