Bahamas: 28-year-old man charged for killing two people and wounding two others
A man is accused of shooting two people dead and wounding two others.
Brahim Charlton, 28, is the second suspect accused of the August 9 murder of Dino Brown and the attempted murder of Dennis Bowles.
Charlton is also accused of killing Immigration Officer Laneisha Armbrister and trying to kill Drazen Dean.
The men were ambushed by gunmen who emerged from a grey SUV in front of a home off Marshall Road.
Police said the occupants of a grey SUV opened fire on the Toyota Passo that Armbrister and Dean were in at an intersection in Victoria Gardens.
Charlton did not have a lawyer, and Sergeant Samantha Miah was prosecuted.
He was not required to enter a plea to the charges when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt.
She remanded him to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until December 6. On that date, Charlton is expected to receive a voluntary bill of indictment that will fast-track his case to the Supreme Court for trial.
