Bahamas: Bail denied for man accused of live streaming shooting
A Supreme Court judge yesterday rejected a bail bid for a man who live-streamed himself shooting at a suspect's home in his brother’s murder.
London Rahming was arrested soon after the incident and was eventually charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
Prosecutors say Rahming intended to murder Renaldo Georges, Evene Georges and Gerriah Adderley and had a handgun to endanger their lives on March 14.
Rahming’s lawyer, Bjorn Ferguson, asked Justice Cheryl Grant-Thompson to give Rahming bail on medical grounds.
At his initial court appearance, Ferguson had asked the magistrate to remand Rahming to Sandilands Rehabilitation Centre (SRC). However, the magistrate said that she would order doctors from SRC to evaluate Rahming at the prison.
In 2018, a jury acquitted Renaldo Georges of abetment to murder and acting as an accessory after the fact in the murder of Rahming’s brother, Leo Rahming.
