Bahamas: Cop charged for stealing and presenting the forged documents
A police constable has found himself on the wrong side of the law.
Prosecutors allege that Stefan Rahming, 40, attempted to manage the estates of two people by presenting forged letters of administration.
It’s alleged that between March 24, 2021, and July 15, 2021, Rahming owned a forged letter of administration for the estate of Cyrille Morley.
Rahming allegedly uttered the forged documents during the same period.
He is further accused of stealing $1,800 from Denise Bowleg because of service.
The police constable is also accused of presenting a forged letter of administration for the estate of Dave Rodgers between March 6, 2021, and June 30, 2021.
He denied the charges at his arraignment before Senior Magistrate Defense Rolle-Davis and was granted $10,000 bail.
Rahming returns to court on October 6 for trial. Sergeant Kendrick Bauld was prosecuted.
Lavon Coley appeared in another court charged with forgery.
Prosecutors alleged that she forged an ISD report about a lost voter’s card and NIB smart card on April 7.
She’s also accused of attempting to defraud Demetrius Williams out of $50.
Coley denied the accusations at her arraignment before Magistrate Kendra Kelly.
She was granted $1,000 bail and returned to court on September 21 for trial.
Sergeant 260 Vernon Pyfrom was prosecuted, and Bjorn Ferguson represented Coley.
