Bahamas: Man accused of murder claims to have evidence that he was at home when crimes occurred
A lawyer for a man accused of murder and attempted murder claims he has evidence that he was elsewhere when the murders were committed.
Prosecutors have accused Brandon Pinder of Ridgeland Park West of the August 9 murder of Dino Brown and the attempted murder of Dennis Bowles.
Both men were shot after they pulled up to a home on Marshall Road, according to police.
Pinder didn’t have to enter pleas to the charges when he made his first court appearance before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt on Monday.
Prosecutors intend to fast-track the case to the Supreme Court by a voluntary bill of indictment on December 14.
However, Pinder’s lawyer, Ian Cargill, told the magistrate that he had provided an officer, identified only Hepburn's surname with a copy of footage showing he was at home when the crimes occurred.
Cargill said he would also give a copy of the footage to the prosecutor, Sergeant 3605 Samantha Miah.
