Bahamas: Two men charged with murdering woman who was attending prayer meeting
Two men are behind bars today charged with murdering a woman outside a church.
On January 18, Claudette Capron, 60, was headed to a prayer meeting at Resurrection Power Ministry when stray bullets struck her chest and head.
Prosecutors say, James Knowles, 30, of Ida Street, and Jurado Marshall, 18, of Old Cedar Street, are responsible for the senseless shooting.
The men also face attempted murder and armed robbery charges stemming from the same incident.
Prosecutors say Knowles and Marshall attempted to murder Antwan Adderley and Emilio Ramsey and robbed Kendra Ramsey of a 2011 Honda Fit at gunpoint.
Marshall alone is accused of receiving the stolen vehicle.
Knowles and Marshall were not required to enter pleas to the charges when they made their initial court appearance before Magistrate Samuel McKinney.
They were denied bail and are expected to return to court on March 25.
