Barbados reduced their quarantine days for vaccinated travelers
Currently, all arrivals in Barbados must take a PCR test no earlier than three days before arrival in the country and spend seven or eight nights in a government-approved quarantine facility with a PCR test five days after arrival.
From 8 May, vaccinated travelers will be able to take a PCR test on arrival before heading to a quarantine facility using a government-approved transport provider. On receipt of a negative test result, travelers can leave their quarantine; results are currently being delivered on average one or two days after a test.
Travelers will be considered to be vaccinated if they have completed a full regimen of vaccines for any of the Ministry of Health and Wellness approved vaccinations more than two weeks before travel to Barbados. This applies to the AstraZeneca, Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines, but others may be added.
The traveler must also show that they have not traveled from or transited through a ‘country of special consideration’ within the 21-day period immediately before arrival.
The country joins a growing list with lifted or lessened restrictions for vaccinated travelers, Including Israeli, Iceland, Estonia, and Romania.
