Bermudian National security minister Renee Ming stabbed to death

National Security Minister Renee Ming has condemned yesterday’s murder of a 57-year-old man in Hamilton Parish, Bermuda.
Duane Gibbons was found with a stab wound on the eastbound lane of Blue Hole Hill, just east of the Swizzle Inn Restaurant, by a passer-by around 2:20 am.
He is the island’s third murder victim for 2021.
“I wish to extend sincerest condolences to the family, loved ones, and friends of Mr Duane Gibbons, who sadly was the victim of a stabbing yesterday,” Ming said.
“This is such a concerning and tragic death, and I urge anyone with any knowledge of Mr Gibbons’ murder or any information about his movements or whereabouts before his death to please help his family find justice by coming forward and assisting the Police with their inquiries.”
The Bermuda Police Service has also asked the public to come forward with information on the incident.
Speaking with the media yesterday, Acting Detective Inspector Jason Smith said: “We know that Mr Gibbons is from the Warwick area, and it is interesting that he has found himself in this location at this hour of the morning. How he came to be at this location is vital to our investigation.”
