British Virgin Islands records first road fatalities of the year
The British Virgin Islands recorded its first road fatalities for the year on Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as 32-year-old Henderson Legair and 23-year-old Kenroy Joseph by the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF).
Legair was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred at Joe’s Hill, while Joseph was taken to the Dr Orlando Smith Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
RVIPF said details surrounding the accident are still unclear.
Relatives and friends of Legair took to social media to express their grief following his death.
“[Was] in the studio shooting a gig when I got this news [and] I was hoping for the best in my prayers. Gone too soon. The only thing I can remember is the last time when we went to Jost Van Dyke fishing. Rest in peace, Henderson Blacky Legair. Only Jah knows,” a friend wrote on Instagram.
Another person commented: “Life is so short. Henderson Blacky Legair had big dreams that were cut short. This shows that you must live every day like it’s your last.”
