BVI: St Maarten residents identified as victims of boat accident
The two men, missing at sea near the British Virgin Islands, have been identified as Julien Roy Gabriel and Gabriel Bryan by the Royal Virgin Islands Police.
Both men are residents of St Maarten.
Police reported that Gabriel and Bryan boarded a vessel named Wahoo, with another man, on November 22.
The three were due to sail a short distance from Baie De Grand Case on the French side of St Martin to Baie Du Marigot.
Police said the survivor reported that the boat was struck by a wave and overturned.
The men drifted at sea for four days.
British Virgin Island boaters rescued the lone survivor on Sunday.
Cops said the survivor stated that Bryan and Gabriel released their hold on the boat and disappeared below the water one day before they were rescued.
Officers of the Police Marine Branch continue their search for the missing boaters.
