Caribbean countries urged to adopt new internet addresses
When it comes to your cell phone, computer or television, most people are only concerned with the speed with which their videos, shows and games are streamed, and how best they connect to the internet.
Most are unaware of the factors that influence the quality of their user experience.
According to the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN) and The Internet Addresses Registry for Latin America and the Caribbean (LACNIC), the IP addresses used by your Internet Service Providers are crucial to the quality of your experience.
They are therefore urging ISPs in the region to adopt the new Internet Protocol Version 6 language to ensure you can enjoy the full power of your online experience.
According to research done by the two agencies, many Caribbean countries are slow to adopt the new Internet Protocol Version 6.
