Cuban President calls to stop genocide against Palestine
Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez called for an end to the genocide that Israel is committing against the Palestinian people in complicity with the United States.
In his message on X, the Head of State urged to heed the new resolution of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), co-sponsored by more than 100 countries, to stop at once the brutal attacks in Gaza.
The text adopted Tuesday calls for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire and urges all parties involved to comply with international law and international humanitarian law, particularly the protection of civilians, the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages, and the provision of humanitarian relief.
The document presented by Egypt received 153 votes, whereas 10 countries voted against it and 23 abstained.
