Dr. Michael K. Obeng, the “Surgeon’s Surgeons”
Dr. Michael K. Obeng is now the official miracle maker. His work on the removal of the Gorilla Glue from Tessica Brown’s hair is indeed miraculous. Dr. Obeng used his background in Chemistry to develop a concoction that consisted of olive oil, aloe vera, a medical grade adhesive remover, and acetone to remove the Gorilla Glue adhesive from Tessica Brown’s hair, while still leaving her hair intact. That is amazing work; nothing short of miraculous.
Dr. Obeng is the hero in Tessica Brown’s story. He is an expert in complex reconstructive surgery and micro-neurovascular surgery and is one of the few plastic surgeons in the world who have successfully reattached a limb, remove ribs to slim the waistline. Dr. Obeng was also named among the Top Plastic Surgeons in America in 2011 and 2014.
In addition to that prestigious acknowledgement, he has accumulated other notable awards such as the coveted Herman B. Barnett Award in Surgery and Anesthesia and has reserved a grant from the National Institute of Health (NIH). He is popularly known as “the Surgeon’s Surgeon” because of his remarkable talent in the field.
Besides his conducting surgeries Dr. Obeng can be found presenting lectures on plastic surgery. He also has international publications on breast augmentation, breast aesthetics and reconstruction.
A humble genius is one of the best ways we can describe Dr. Michael Obeng. He was born into poverty in Ghana but overcame against all odds and journey to the top of his professional chain. He is the former Chief of Plastic Surgery at St. Elizabeth Health Center and is currently employed at Cedars Sinai Hospital. With his years of experience, he has formulated creative methods to resolve complex cosmetic and reconstructive surgical issues, as he did for Tessica Brown.
Dr. Obeng clientele consists of elites such as celebrities and royalty, but he also extends his expertise to the less fortunate throughout the world. He is a very compassionate professional who volunteers his skills to less fortunate in third world countries through his non-profit organization called R.E.S.T.O.R.E. Worldwide Inc.
