Grenada man on bail for attempted murder
After being detained and charged with attempted non-capital murder, a mason from Carriacou was released on bail.
According to the Royal Grenada Police Force, the man, 36, was involved in an altercation on August 15 at Bogles with another individual he suspected of sexually assaulting his daughter.
The charged individual is accused of inflicting many chop wounds on the victim, one of which left him without a thumb.
He appeared before the Carriacou Magistrate’s Court today, where he was granted bail for EC$20,000 with two sureties, with the following bail conditions:
-He is to have no contact with Virtual Complainant, witnesses, and family members
-Report to Carriacou Police Station every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 6 am and 6 pm
-Not to be in the vicinity of the Virtual Complainant
-Surrender all travel documents forthwith
-Not allowed to leave the state of Grenada without permission from the court
The mason is scheduled to reappear in court on October 19.
