Grenada: Petrol tax added on petroleum products
Grenadians have been advised that effective January 18 (today), a petrol tax of $3.50 will be charged per imperial gallon of gasoline and diesel. The price of gasoline at the pump in Grenada and Carriacou is now $15, while diesel is $15.84.
The Ministry of Finance yesterday indicated that in keeping in line with statements made by the Minister of Finance in the 2023 Budget Speech, petroleum prices of Gasoline, Diesel and Kerosene throughout Grenada and Carriacou have been harmonised with effect from January 18, 2023.
The new retail prices are computed based on the average current C.I.F. rates for December 13, 2022, to January 10, 2023.
It noted petroleum products are price-controlled goods, and no retailer shall vary the prices stated.
Effective Wednesday, January 18, 2023, the retail prices of petroleum products (Gasoline, Diesel, Kerosene and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), commonly known as Cooking Gas, in the State of Grenada, will be as follows:
