Harry Potter star Tom Felton collapses during celebrity golf match
On Wednesday, the actor, who turned 34, experienced a "medical incident" and was sent to a "local hospital for treatment", the PGA of America said. Pictures showed him consciousness while being removed in a cart.
Mr Felton is well known for playing Harry Potter's rival Draco Malfoy in the film franchise. A keen golfer, Mr Felton was representing Europe alongside former professional ice hockey player Teemu Selanne, from Finland, in the celebrity tournament at Whistling Straits.
They were playing against 1980 US Olympic hockey captain Mike Eurzione and Olympic speed skater Dan Jansen. The statement from the PGA of America said no details about his condition were available.
Felton, who spent over a decade playing Draco Malfoy, the boy wizard’s rival in the hugely popular film series based on the novels by JK Rowling, was pictured looking shaky and pale surrounded by fellow players, volunteers and tournament officials before being helped to his feet and laid on a golf cart.
Felton was playing in a two-person scramble competition made up of sport and entertainment celebrities. He collapsed after playing 11 holes with team-mate Teemu Selanne, a former professional ice hockey player.
