Kapri 100Mill hits one million views mark with 'Ocean'
Dancehall artiste Kapri 100Mill is pleased with the response to his latest single, 'Ocean'. Laced with glitzy visuals, the 'Ocean' single, released two months ago has accumulated over one million views.
"So far, the reaction from the data impressions has been impressive. A lot of sounds from Japan and Germany have been sending me DMS to do dubs and an intro for that song. So it's a good look so far. And I feel great because each song I've been dropping seems like a level up," Kapri 100Mill said.
He is getting a huge response in Allentown, Pennsylvania where he performed on two major two events in late summer, one of which was a single release party and a live club performance in the city.
Kapri 100Mill is putting the finishing touches on an EP which will be released soon.
"The EP that I've been working on is called N&N Nostalgia & Now. That will have songs that sound like ‘Ocean’ that now feel and songs that sound like Raise Yuh Glass 90s style and flow," he said.
The deejay, whose real name is Dwayne Wallace, attended Pembroke Hall Primary and High schools. He got his break in 2008 when he released the single ‘Dear Mama’ on the 'Creeper' rhythm. In 2008, he also won a 'Battle Thursdays' contest, walking away as the winner of the battle two consecutive times.
Kapri performed in Jamaica over the weekend at an event in Portland. He is booked to perform at upcoming events in November, one of those shows will be in Windsor, Canada, and the other will be in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
