More than 500 Vincentian students receive scholarships from Taiwan
Over 500 students from various academic levels have received bursaries from the Republic of China (Taiwan), with the initial grants distributed on Monday at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College, Villa Campus.
These scholarships, part of the Human Development Resource Program between St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Taiwan, support students from primary, secondary, and technical institutions across the Windward side of the island, including Kingstown, the Marriaqua Valley, and neighbouring communities.
Speaking at the ceremony, Taiwanese Ambassador Fiona Fan reaffirmed Taiwan’s commitment to supporting education in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. She also announced plans to expand scholarship opportunities for Vincentian students studying in Taiwan by 2025.
