New Creative Platform App to hit the Caribbean
A new all-in-one networking platform is being introduced to the Caribbean’s creative industry. ThriveIn was created by Trinidadian entrepreneur Ethan Auguste and co-founders Andre Ivashev and Daniil Novik to connect creative professionals. It is a platform where creatives can find like-minded professionals nearby or globally, post or apply for jobs and collaborations and build their professional network.
Ethan Auguste is the founder of Thrive Collective which is the holding company that launched the BETA version of ThriveIN.
ThriveIn is being described as the Linkedin for creatives. The platform plans to help the creative industry in Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean by showcasing the talents to a global audience and supply the Caribbean with a connection to the industry leaders and gatekeepers.
In 2017, Auguste facilitated the signing of local artist Kalpee to Sony Music, and he plans to continue giving opportunity and leveraging his network to show creatives in the Caribbean that anyone can get international exposure once you keep believing in your craft and building a network.
Auguste is a cultural ambassador for Trinidad and Tobago and has been credited for the work he has done in this field. He was recently invited to be on a panel supported by the Indonesian Tourism and Culture Ministries and had the opportunity to start talks about cultural exchange between the two countries after the pandemic.
"Since I was 20 years old and working with the first band I managed Krash, I knew the importance of supporting the arts, my late grandmother Dr Molly Ahye did the same through dance, art and religion so for me it was a natural feeling and having showcased 1000s of talents over the years I've found my calling, with this new app platform we hope to make the lives of a creative easier and see more talents connect and build their social capital. The likes and followers are great but building a network of professionals in your field can help you grow, get feedback, and create collaborations which can help expand your reach," Auguste said in a statement.
The ThriveIn app is the first of its kind in the region. It is expected to not only connect creatives but businesses, agencies and anyone looking to find videographers, models, photographers, singers, etc and hire talents in the same country or remotely.
"People can download ThriveIN from the App Store or Play Store and it's free to join. Soon we will launch a membership programme where members would get discounts and other benefits from various creative focused companies such as art supply and music shops along with other places that creatives frequent," he explained.
Future features would be various industry groups, in-app payments for jobs, access to services such as music distribution, contracts, and masterclasses.
You can access frequent update on ThriveIN via Instagram and on Facebook.
