Nigy Boy and Moyan team up for ‘Unfair’
It has been a memorable year for newcomer Nigy Boy. Not only did he score back-to-back chart-topping hit songs such as “Continent”, “Judgement” and “Nomad”, but he was the recipient of several accolades in his still young music career.
“It has been a memorable experience, receiving all those recognitions and citations and just sharing the stage with so many major acts. These accolades signify that my music is transcending borders, and it is resonating with people from all walks of life,” the New Jersey-based singer told Loop News recently.
Last weekend, Nigy Boy shot the video for his latest single Ole Gyalis, which was produced by New York-based Bobby Konders. The video was completed in parts of Fort Lauderdale.
Unfair, a collaboration with singer Moyann, was released last month and the video for the song has accumulated more than 1 million views on YouTube.
Nigy Boy said working with Moyann was an honour for him.
“It’s been an honour working with her. She is a phenomenal human being. We met up in Guyana when we did the Burna Boy show and there was this instant chemistry. DJ Frass played at beat and some words came to mind. She heard the beat as well and it was just an instant vibe and entire connection. That song was completed in a hotel,” Nigy Boy stated.
Moyann was just as complimentary about working with Nigy Boy.
“Working with Nigy Boy was a great experience. I can’t say a particular situation inspired the single but the topic is one many women have experienced with men being unfair,” said Moyann.
Moyann, just like Nigy Boy, are working on their respective EPs, both of which will be released next year.
