OMI earns silver certification for The Vamps' 'I Found a Girl'
Found a Girl', a song by British boy band The Vamps which features singer OMI, has been certified silver by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) for sales and streaming equivalent exceeding 200,000 units.
This is the second BPI-certified single featuring OMI.
In 2020, his smash hit 'Cheerleader' (Felix Jaehn Remix) was certified 4x platinum for sales exceeding 2.4 million units.
'I Found a Girl', a song about a man falling in love with a lesbian, was released in April 2016 as the third single from the group's second studio album 'Wake Up' (Mercury Records).
The song peaked at number 30 on the UK Singles chart, number six in Poland, 63 in Ireland, and 11 in Scotland.
The official video for 'I Found A Girl' has so far racked up 36 million views on YouTube.
The four-member group The Vamps has to date charted released five full-length studio albums. Meet the Vamps (2014) was certified BPI platinum while Wake Up, Night and Day (Night Edition), and Night and Day (Day Edition) have each been certified gold.
The group's most recent album, 2020's Cherry Blossom topped the British Album chart.
Among the group's hits on the UK Singles charts are 'Can We Dance', 'Last Night' and 'Wild Heart', each of which peaked at number two.
