President’s Moise’s assassination: 'Everybody is a suspect,' says a political insider
A prominent Haitian doctor living in South Florida has been implicated in last week’s assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moise, the third person of Haitian descent in Florida to be seized. But political insider Armstrong Williams says that Moise’s assassination was an “inside job.”
“We should not believe the propaganda that's being fed out of Haiti,” said political insider Armstrong Williams to The National Desk’s Jan Jeffcoat. “We're far from finding out the truth of why this man died, but I will tell you, those closest to him are responsible for his death.”
According to Williams, Moise’s assassination was a “coup.”
“It was an inside job from the person who succeeded him who’s acting as the prime minister now,” said Williams. “Everybody is a suspect until we learn the truth.”
Haitian National Police Chief Léon Charles said that Sanon had “political objectives” and used a security firm to recruit some of the 28 people involved in the assassination. According to officials, a team of U.S investigators has arrived in Haiti to investigate the assassination.
As Haiti is gripped by chaos and leaders vie for power, Williams says it’s important to uncover what happened.
“You better get to the truth because there will be chaos, burning, looting, more assassinations, more gangs,” said Williams.
