Prisoners escape lawful custody in Guyana
Law enforcement officials in Guyana are searching for two prisoners who escaped from a prison van while transported to Lusignan Prison.
According to the Guyana Police Force, the prisoners are Ryan Wilson, called 'Pepsi', 28, of Lot 69 Vergenoegen, East Bank Essequibo (in custody for indecent assault) and Shamar Singh, 22, of Hague, West Coast Demerara (in the custody of v for the offence of Simple Larceny and possession of Narcotics).
Both men escaped yesterday afternoon when they kicked open the door of the prison van that was transporting them to was on the eastern end of the Demerara Harbour Bridge en route to Lusignan on the East Coast of Demerara.
Committed efforts are being made to recapture the two men. The Police have also issued a WANTED BULLETIN for the duo.
Persons who have information about the whereabouts of both men are urged to contact their nearest police station.
