Sint Maarten: Over 22,000 registered to vote in 2024 election
As the date for Sint Maarten’s 2024 Parliamentary election draws near, the official voter registration statistics have been released.
According to the Ministry of General Affairs, alongside the Central Voting Bureau, the total number of registered voters for the January 11, 2024, election is 22,553.
The breakdown by gender is 10,647 male and 11,906 female voters.
The Civil Registry says it is analysing these figures to offer a more comprehensive understanding of the voter demographics, including a district-wise breakdown.
A statement says the closure of the Voter Registry is a significant milestone in the election timeline, and citizens of Sint Maarten are commended for their active enrollment, demonstrating their readiness to participate in the democratic process.
Further election developments will be issued regarding polling station locations, voting hours, and public order protocols.
