St Kitts and Nevis Celebrate Labour Party
Dr Terrance Drew, Leader of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party, led thousands through the streets of Basseterre during the grandest Labour Day March ever seen.
“Labour massive, bring your flags, your rags and wear your colours as we march in solidarity with workers!” posted Dr Terrance Drew, political leader of the St Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP), with the hashtags ” #ForwardTogether and #MarchForBetter.”
The sister organisation – the St Kitts-Nevis Trades and Labour Union (SKNT&LU), participated fully in the celebrations.
Workers of every type came out in their colours to #MarchforBetter and spoke out on the failures of the present administration regarding workers and demanded that better be done.
Dr Douglas has been representing the people of Newton Ground, St Paul’s, Dieppe Bay, Parsons, Pogson, Lavington, Saddlers and Harris for the past 33 years.
The traditional Labour Day March, the first since 2020, was held on May 2, 2022, and was preceded by a healthy breakfast which started at 8 a.m.
The March led by the leaders of the Labour Movement left the Pasty Allers Recreation Grounds at 10 a.m. and wended its way through the streets of Basseterre.
