St Lucian man charged with sexual offences in Grenada

A St Lucian citizen residing in Grenada appeared before the St. George Magistrate’s Court on Monday charged with four counts of rape and two counts of indecent assault.  

The accused, Candius Matherine, 38, a landscaper residing at Mt Granby, St John, was granted bail in the sum of EC $50,000 with one surety with the following conditions:  

  • Surrender all travel documents 
  • Re-locate to Chantimelle, St Patrick  
  • No contact with the virtual complainant and all witnesses 
  • Report to Union Police Station every Wednesday between the hours of 6 am and 6 pm 

Matherine will reappear in court on April 26, 2022.
