St Vincent: Murder toll climbs to 39
The murder toll for St Vincent and the Grenadines increased to 39 this week following the deaths of two people in separate incidents.
In the latest incident, the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) launched an investigation into the shooting death of Marcus Samuel of Barrouallie. Samuel’s body was found near Aquatic Club in Villa on December 15.
A postmortem examination is expected to be carried out on the deceased to ascertain the exact cause of death.
Samuel's death marks the 39th murder reported for 2022. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, an investigation has been launched into the death of Jason “Toby” Henry of Lowmans Leeward on December 13.
Henry was found near the Apostolic Faith Church in Lowmans Hill.
A postmortem examination is expected to be carried out on Henry’s body to ascertain the exact cause of death. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
Henry’s death marked the 38th homicide for 2022.
