SVG: Man charged for stealing from a police station
A labourer in St Vincent and the Grenadines will appear in court after being arrested and charged for several offences, namely; burglary, damage to property, and possession of unlicensed ammunition.
The accused is a 20-year-old man of Barrouallie.
According to investigations, the man allegedly entered the Barrouallie Police Station as a trespasser. He stole several items valued at EC $560, the property of the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Without lawful excuse, the man allegedly damaged a glass window valued at EC $450, which is the property of the Government of St Vincent and the Grenadines.
The investigation further led to the accused being charged with possessing one .9mm round of ammunition without a license issued under the Firearms Act.
The incidents occurred around 2 pm on October 2.
