Teachers to protest virtually for a second day in SVG

Teachers in St Vincent and the Grenadines are expected to withhold online teaching today as a mark of protest against mandatory vaccination.
The second-day teachers are supposed to remain disconnected from students who only began the new school term online on October 4.
Some people have taken to social media to express their concerns about the situation.
One commenter on Facebook said: "At this point, it's no longer about the kids; it's just politics! Greedy, selfish politics!"
Another commenter also said: "I agree the kids have been suffering for too long now."
A similar sentiment was expressed by another commenter concerning the welfare of students: "They don't care about the children at all."
The SVG Teachers' Union said educators are also expected to withhold online teaching on October 15.
A decision was taken recently at a Cabinet meeting for teachers to be recognized as frontline workers.
