Tessica Brown's Gorilla Glue Mishap Finally Rectified
Throughout social media videos and memes have been circulating about a young lady, Tessica Brown, a 40-year-old native of Lousiana, who glued her hair down with Gorilla Glue because her Got to be Glue hair spray had “run out” in the midst of her styling her hair. Brown stated that she likes to ensure that her hair is laid so she quickly grabbed the Gorilla Glue to finish her hairstyle, unaware of the grave mistake she was about to make.
Brown regrettably posted a video on TikTok warning person from making the same mistake she did. Many have dragged her for it, many have shown empathy and concern, and many have accused her of seeking fame, but Brown has been seriously traumatized over the incident and was in desperate need of help. It appeared the incident was a genuine error filled with great regret.
She stated that she expected to just be able to wash it out, but weeks after when she attempted to remove the product, she realized the grave mistake. She added that she washed her hair about 15 times with no success.
Apparently, she likes a stiff hairstyle and stiff it had been, for over a month now. “My hair has been like this for about a month now. It’s not my choice, no, it’s not my choice,” she stated. Brown feared that the mishap would have been an irreversible decision, but relief came her way on Wednesday.
Entertainment Tonight interviewed Tessica Brown after the procedure. She travelled to Los Angeles to meet Dr. Michael Obeng, a plastic surgeon, who successfully removed the Gorilla Glue from her hair free of charge.
Brown praised Dr. Obeng for the amazing work he did. "He is everything! I thanked him and hugged him and thanked him. I just came from my appointment a while ago, and we took so many more pictures…I didn't even know what else, like, what could I do for you?" she stated in an ET interview.
Brown stated that the procedure was not painful; she was placed under light anesthesia and was told not to use any additional products in her hair for six weeks. She was instructed to wear wigs for the team being until everything is completely cleared up.
“I will be going natural” Brown said when asked what the next step for her with regards to her hair is. Special medication was given to treat her scalp and she is expected to undergo further procedures on Friday.
