Tributes flow for late actor, comedian, bishop, Winston 'Bello' Bell
Popular actor and comedian Winston 'Bello' Bell, known for having been part of the comedic duo, Bello and Blakka, has died.
For decades, Bell also served as a minister of religion.

"It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bishop Winston Alexander Bell who passed away on April 15, 2023 due to complications from neuropathy," the post stated on Sunday.
Neuropathy is a nerve problem that causes pain, numbness, tingling, swelling or muscle weakness in different parts of the body. It usually gets worse over time after usually begining in the hands and feet.
Bell's son, Jerome, also confirmed his father's passing in a Facebook post on Sunday.
"Rest in peace daddy, aka Winston ‘Bello’ Bell, #PastorBello," he wrote.
"You were loved by many, helped a lot of people lift their faith and draw closer to God, made a lot of people laugh with your duo, Owen Ellis, aka Blacka. Rest well. You no longer have to live in pain or with any care for this world," he added.
According to Bell's LinkedIn profile, he was the bishop/general overseer of the Time Out for Jesus Worldwide Ministries since January 1999.
He has also been a producer and presenter on Roots 96.1 FM for the past 24 years, where he shared his ministry.
A past student of Camperdown High School, Bell began his acting career in 1981, and has appeared in numerous films like ‘Third World Cop’, ‘One Love’, ‘Glory to Gloriana’ and ‘The First Black Britons’.
He also made many theatrical appearances in many productions, such as ‘Glass Slippaz’.
His wife Joy, whom he married in May 1995, predeceased him. His charity programme, the Joy Bell Foundation, was named after her.
Many persons have taken to social media to express their condolences to the beloved actor and bishop.
Among them is Prime Minister Andrew Holness, who described Bell as "an exceptionally talented actor" and comedian.
"Many Jamaicans, including myself, have fond memories of Winston Bell who played numerous standout roles, many eliciting rounds of belly laughter," Holness said, adding that he was "truly saddened" to learn of Bell’s passing.
"May his family, friends and colleagues be strengthened during this time, and may his soul Rest in Peace," stated Holness.
Broadcaster and actor, Rodney Campbell, tweeted: "Bello mi big bredda..., Blacka (Owen Ellis) just celebrated a birthday, seems you waited for your longtime friend to see another year...
