Tropical wave to affect SVG, flooding possible
The Meteorological Service of St Vincent and the Grenadines has advised islanders that a tropical wave will bring periods of showers and thunderstorm activity to the country tonight.
“Cloudy skies, pockets of moderate showers and possible isolated thunderstorms are anticipated along this afternoon, intensifying tonight as a tropical wave affects our islands. Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides and near rivers and streams should remain alert. These conditions are expected to persist along Wednesday as trailing instability lingers,” the MET Service said.
Conditions are expected to improve on Thursday, and there will be a mixture of sunshine and showers.
Friday will see the Inter Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) migrate northward and bring unsettled weather conditions to our islands.
