Two men accused of sex with minors in the Bahamas
Two men accused of illegal intimate relationships with minors were yesterday remanded to prison.
Patrick Poitier, 28, of Crystal Way, Windsor Place, appeared before Senior Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans on a charge of unlawful sexual intercourse.
Prosecutors allege that Poitier and an 11-year-old girl had sex on May 8.
He was not required to enter a plea to the charge and was denied bail.
He returns to court to present a voluntary bill of indictment on July 27.
Justin Pratt, 20, of Amos Ferguson Street, appeared before Assistant Chief Magistrate Subusola Swain charged with four counts of unlawful sexual intercourse.
Prosecutors allege that he had intercourse with a 13-year-old on two occasions during February 2022, once in March 2022 and once on May 9.
Pratt, who Ian Cargill represented, did not have to enter a plea to the charges.
He returns to court on August 3.
