US QAnon dad killed his children over 'mom’s serpent DNA, would grow into monsters
A California father accused of an atrocious double-filicide had admitted to Monday’s killings of his small children in Mexico and gave a bizarre motive for the crime. According to federal investigators, Matthew Taylor Coleman, 40, was a QAnon follower and Illuminati conspiracy theorist.
He admitted to having travelled with his 2 years old and 10 months old to Rosarito, Mexico, where he shot them with a spearfishing gun. Coleman, who owns a surf school in California, claimed that the innocent victims had inherited serpent DNA from their mom and “were going to grow into monsters.” He added that “it was the only course of action that would save the world,” the complaint read.
The troubled dad had stabbed daughter Roxy at least 12 times in between the neck and abdomen area. Son Kaleo was stabbed 17 times before they were both tossed in a ditch. The children's mother first raised the alarm on August 7 when Coleman took them from their shared home. He had said he was taking them camping but refused to tell her where and did not answer calls or text messages. He also did not have a child car seat with him.
A day later, police tracked him using the Find My iPhone app, which showed his last known location in Rosarito, Mexico. When he crossed back into the United States the next day, he was detained by the FBI at the border. Coleman confessed to shooting both his children with the spearfishing gun and leaving their bodies in Mexico, where Mexican authorities found them.
According to the complaint, he "stated that he believed his children would grow into monsters, so he had to kill them," according to the complaint. He told agents that he was "enlightened by QAnon and Illuminati conspiracy theories and was receiving visions and signs revealing that his wife ... possessed serpent DNA and had passed it on to his children," it continued. He told federal law enforcement he believed he was "saving the world from monsters," the complaint said.
