US Secretary of State and US Ambassador send T&T Independence greetings
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and US Ambassador to T&T Candace Bond congratulated Trinidad and Tobago for 61 years of Independence.
In a release from the State Department, Blinken said the US looks forward to continued work with Trinidad and Tobago as allies and partners, united by shared values of resiliency, diversity, and democracy.
" We also look forward to broadening our cooperation under the Caribbean Basin Security Initiative (CBSI) and the U.S.-Caribbean Partnership to Address the Climate Crisis (PACC 2030)," Blinken said.
US Ambassador to T&T Candace Bond, in a video message posted to the US Embassy's social media accounts, said, "Today, as you celebrate with friends and family at the Independence Day Parade and various limes around the country, I extend best wishes for continued peace, growth and prosperity."
