USVI school placed on lockdown due to bomb threat
The US Virgin Islands Police Department said it identified the man who made a bomb threat on the Lockhart Elementary campus today.
The police gave this update as it announced the reopening of the Lockhart Elementary and the Addelita Cancryn Junior High School campuses.
“Authorities have positively identified the caller who threatened the Lockhart campus. An investigation into the matter is ongoing,” VIPD said in a Facebook post.
No further details about the caller were revealed.

The Lockhart Elementary School on the US Virgin Islands was locked today due to a bomb threat.
In a Facebook post, the Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) said: “[The] Emergency Call Centre received a call at 10:21 am, from a male stating he was going to blow up the Lockhart Elementary School then hung up the phone.”
Police are other emergency personnel on the scene, and they have advised parents and members of the public from coming to the school campus.
