Venezuela wants increased flights to and from Trinidad and Tobago

Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs Dr Amery Browne has met with His Excellency Dr Yván Gil Pinto, Minister of the People’s Power for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
The meeting took place yesterday during the 78th Regular Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, United States of America.
Also present was His Excellency Raúl Li Causi Pérez, Vice Minister of the People’s Power for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
In a statement from the Ministry of Foreign and Caricom Affairs it said Minister Gil expressed appreciation for the continued support of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago for the democratically elected Government of Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, and the discussion revolved around ongoing energy cooperation, cooperation in terms of migration, security and defense, connectivity, and the recent celebration of the 61st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between both countries.
It said, "Looking forward, Minister Browne expressed the hope that both sides would be ready to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on Defence and Security Cooperation before the end of 2023, while the Venezuelan Foreign Minister looked forward to increasing the number of flights between both countries."
