World congratulates Cuba on 65th anniversary of its Revolution
Representatives of governments of several countries sent congratulatory messages to Cuba on the 65th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution.
On the occasion of the celebration (January 1), the Chinese foreign ministry congratulated the Caribbean Island and highlighted the resistance of its people to external meddling and the blockade.
Prensa Latina reported this in a release from Beijing, where it adds that the Chinese foreign ministry highlighted the island's hard work, as well as its active exploration of development paths adjusted to its national conditions.
The website of the Cuban foreign ministry (Cubaminrex) highlights the congratulatory message from Shavkat Mirziyoyev, president of the Republic of Uzbekistan, to his Cuban counterpart, Miguel Diaz-Canel, on the occasion of the national holiday.
In the letter, the Uzbek president stressed the potential for developing relations of practical cooperation between the two states on behalf of the peoples' interests.
Azerbaijan's press agency AZERTAC published on Monday a letter of congratulations from the head of state, Ilham Aliyev, to his counterpart in Cuba, in which he greeted the Liberation Day on the island and stressed the special importance attached by his government to the comprehensive development of the traditional friendly relations with Cuba.
For his part, Gaston Browne, Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, also greeted the anniversary of the Cuban Revolution and stressed that this process has significantly contributed to the lives of the Latin American and Caribbean people.
The premier added in his message that despite the great obstacles derived from the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the U.S. government, Cuba remains a global leader in sectors such as education and health and continues to promote its solidarity and collaboration.
In this regard, Bruno Rodriguez, Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs, thanked, on behalf of his people and government, the numerous messages from different parts of the world for the 65th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution.
On X, the Cuban diplomat stated that the Revolution was undefeated, free, sovereign, solidary and socialist.
The congratulations were joined by leaders such as Nicolas Maduro from Venezuela, Luis Alberto Arce from Bolivia, Daniel Ortega from Nicaragua, and Alexander Lukashenko from Belarus.
Led by Fidel Castro, the Rebel Army defeated troops superior in arms and men after more than two years of armed struggle in the mountains of the Sierra Maestra.
