Zion Nisbett Elite’s Academy winger rewarded with Nevis Under 20’s squad international
The 17-year-old winger Zion Nisbett has been rewarded by Elite Academy with an international call-up to St. Kitts and Nevis Under 20’s squad.
He will link up with the Sugar Boyz for their Concacaf Under-20 Championships, to be played in Honduras, between 18th June and 3rd July.
St. Kitts and Nevis will compete in Group E and go head-to-head with the USA (18th June), Cuba (20th June) and Canada (22nd June).
Nisbett has shone for the Elite Academy throughout their inaugural campaign, playing a vital role as the team picked up three titles, with one final still to play this week.
Following Nisbett’s call-up, Head of Elite Youth Development at the Moors, Mike Fowler, said:
“We are delighted for Zion. He has had a fantastic season, and this is much deserved.
“He signed for us from Derby County in the summer, and we were fortunate that he chose us amidst a lot of interest.
“He has shown incredible dedication travelling over an hour each day to get to training and games, so for us, this achievement is not a surprise.
“Zion is a talented winger who is dangerous in the final third but marries that up with a tremendous defensive understanding of his roles and responsibilities.
“Most importantly, he plays with a smile on his face. We are privileged to work with him daily and enjoy watching him grow as a player and as a person.”
Congratulations, Zion!
