COVID-19 cases continue to rise in St. Kitts and Nevis
There are now 32 active COVID-19 cases in St. Kitts and Nevis.
The federation is experiencing its first community spread since the start of the pandemic and has placed its citizens under curfew. They have moved from zero active cases to 32 cases in two weeks.
The curfew began on Tuesday 25th May and runs from 11:00 pm until 5:00 am. It is expected to end on Tuesday 8th June. The curfew was instituted in an effort to prevent the spread of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19. No bars or nightclubs are allowed to open, and all events have been canceled until further notice.
The latest media release on Friday 4th June from the Chief Medical Officer in the Ministry of Health, Dr. Cameron Wilkinson, states that the Federation has, since the start of the pandemic, 83 confirmed cases of the COVID-19, 69 cases for St. Kitts, and 14 cases for Nevis. Fifty-one cases have fully recovered with zero deaths. There are now 32 active cases.
