Grenada’s Omari Peters, popularly known as Papi, has received his YouTube Silver Creator Award which celebrates his achievement of passing 100,000 YouTube subscribers.  

Papi, a young entertainer and comedian from Grenada, who is determined to get to the top of entertainment, as of March 10, 2023, had 107,000 YouTube subscribers. 

The Silver Creator Award, commonly known as a YouTube Play Button or YouTube Plaque is awarded to channels which reach or surpass 100,000 subscribers.  

On March 9, an elated Papi did an unboxing of his Plaque on YouTube where he thanked all his followers for helping him reach his milestone.  

In a video posted to his, YouTube Channel he said:  

“I just want to thank you guys so much, I could not have done this without you guys. You know all the hard work we put in... well I put in and you guys enjoyed it so thank you guys for pushing me... thank you for subscribing... thank you for liking the videos... thank you for guys for watching.” 

Holding up his YouTube Silver Play Button, Papi says 'this the fruit from all that, all the love from you guys.’ 

An emotional Papi when he opened the box and watched the Plaque for the first time said he felt speechless. Papi in the video said he is the first-ever Grenadian to receive the Award for reaching 100K subscribers.

He recognized his team that helped him with his videos.  

Holding up the Plaque he said: “This guys... this feels different. I swear... I could have never thought that I would have got this award. You know watching other YouTubers growing up, you know seeing them get all their awards and stuff and for me to come and get one of those is just mind-blowing. Thank you guys so much.”  

Papi said this is just the beginning of a bigger milestone.  

“I hope that we could go very, very far with this. The next milestone is one million...I know that is very far away but I know we could do it. If it takes us two years, three years, or whatever I know we could do it.”  

Papi has 1.6M TikTok followers, 135K followers on Instagram and 15K followers on Facebook.
