Shenseea talks Curious, Coachella performance in hot Galore interview
Shenseea has some announcements to make, and as one does …when they’re in the big leagues …announcements come in the form of interviews tied with editorials.
This one was no different, the Target deejay has entered what she calls her ‘dragon era’, and set her sights on trailblazing with this fiery editorial.
She did just that in a range of looks – curated by her chief stylist Kris Fe – which comprised a green snakeskin leather jacket by La Pointe, and matching unitard from Vex Latex; a Paco Rabanne headpiece and a top with heart-shaped paillettes, a red and blue Ostrich feather jacket by Celia Kritharioti, and fire-engine red hair, among other fab looks.
The editorial was revealed, “just in time for my single release Curious this Friday and Coachella performance on Saturday (April 15)”.
Since she’s been stepping things up in the fashion department, expectations are high for the ’fits she’s about to hit the stage rocking.
Shenseea and her stylist are making waves with her style, too. From baggy jeans to structural pieces, the two are keen on showcasing female empowerment.
In the interview, Shenseea did with Galore Features Editor Shirley Reynozo, the Blessed deejay spoke about how this effort is transferred to the new project Curious.
Shenseea also underscored some challenges she faces as a mother and musician, noting moments where she may ‘going crazy immediately’ if she’s away from her son, Rajeiro.
Shenseea’s definitely hot right now, and after that fire freestyle she recorded recently, she also took a moment to discuss the highs and lows of her songwriting process.
“My songwriting process is pretty all over the place,” she told Reynozo. “I write sometimes without a beat while some days I need a beat, I might write a complete song today while I take months to finish a next; there’s no set process for me.”
