Trinidadian fined $8,000 for illegal entry in Grenada
T&T national will be deported from Grenada after he arrived on the island illegally.
According to the Royal Grenada Police Force, Dale Abraham, 47, a Trinidadian national, arrived in Grenada on August 5 via a yacht.
He was arrested and charged for entering the State without the consent of an immigration officer, failing to submit to a government-approved quarantine facility, failure to present himself to an immigration officer and failure to present his crew list in duplicate to an immigration officer.
He was brought to court today and fined EC$7,500 on the first charge, EC$500 on the second charge and reprimanded and discharged on the remaining charges.
He was ordered to be removed from the State by the Presiding Magistrate.
The fine was ordered to be paid forthwith, and the process to enforce his deportation began.
